This week

It's the last week before the last term. And I am excited as hell. This past week was wonderful, like, probably the best of the second term.

The words that got stuck in my head all week

The photos that made me cry this week ( just because I miss Italy so much)

The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore (English: Basilica of Saint Mary of the Flower) is the main church of Florence, Italy. The Duomo, as it is ordinarily called, was begun in 1296 in the Gothic style to the design of Arnolfo di Cambio and completed structurally in 1436 with the dome engineered by Filippo Brunelleschi. The exterior of the basilica is faced with polychrome marble panels in various shades of green and pink bordered by white and has an elaborate 19th century Gothic Revival façade by Emilio De Fabris. The cathedral complex, located in Piazza del Duomo, includes the Baptistery and Giotto’s Campanile. The three buildings are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site covering the historic centre of Florence and are a major attraction to tourists visiting the region of Tuscany. The basilica is one of Italy’s largest churches, and until development of new structural materials in the modern era, the dome was the largest in the world. It remains the largest brick dome ever constructed. The cathedral is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Florence, whose archbishop is currently Giuseppe Betori. (x)

These week's favorite memories

When ETC English Theater Company did a play in our school.

A night spent with the cheesiest dorks ever.

The show that marked this week

Set in Stamford, Lincolnshire in 1996, My Mad Fat Diary follows the story of 16-year-old, 231 pound girl, Rae, who has just left a psychiatric hospital, where she has spent four months. She begins to reconnect with her best friend, Chloe, who is unaware of Rae’s mental health and body image problems, believing she was in France for the past four months. Rae attempts to keep this information from her while also trying to impress Chloe’s friends Izzy, Archie, Chop and Finn.

And which I really enjoyed, although sometimes Rae pissed me off by being selfish and childish and seemed to make all the wrong decisions. Izzy is the cutest thing ever. Archie is the sweetest dork in the world. Chop's the funniest guy. Chloe's a queen. And Finn's a sex god. Also, how awesome was the soundtrack? They have all what was good about the 90's in there!
