Some years ago I saw some ads for this show called Shameless and I just though " Oh, good, another show just about sex and getting drunk". The trailer really didn't do any justice to the actual show, like most of the trailers don't, but 4 years later I've stumbled upon the blog of a person who really loves this show so I decided to give it a try, having read her reviews on it.
Dude. I was blown away. This show was like a blow of fresh air! It's mainly a comedy slash drama show and it can either leave you grinning at your screen, or tearing up at it. It has it's funny moments, and when it does that, it's really funny, like, their humour is so smart and refreshing! But it also has a lot of bitter moments, since it revolves around a family with a lot of economical difficulties and what not.
Plus, the cast seems like they have a lot of fun doing it! And what a great cast they are! Beware, though, you may accidentally develop crushes on Jeremy Allen White's character, Lip Gallagher.
Oh, and last but not least, this show has one of the most cool intros I've seen, seriously! The song choice is on point and just everything about it makes it really awesome.
I really recommend watching this, especially if you're on a break from heavier tv shows.
