Ballet and some quotes

I think I must've re-watched this thousands of times. I've always loved ballet, I even took ballet classes for 5 years and gah. This, ok. This. Gosh, she looks like she doesn't even touches the ground, for me it's flawless. Don't even try to tell me that it's easy, it is not. It's freaking hard, and I'm saying this off personal experience. It may be really rewarding but sometimes my feet hurt as hell. I found some quotes about ballet that I really enjoyed so I though about sharing them too with you guys.

Look at a football field. It looks like a big movie screen. This is theatre. Football combines the strategy of chess. It's part ballet. It's part battleground, part playground. We clarify, amplify and glorify the game with our footage, the narration and that music, and in the end create an inspirational piece of footage.

And even this heart of mine has something artificial. The dancers have sewn it into a bag of pink satin, pink satin slightly faded, like their dancing shoes.
― Edgar Degas

And my personal favorite:

“I don’t understand anything about the ballet; all I know is that during the intervals the ballerinas stink like horses.”
― Anton Chekhov
